How to Be an Effective Ezine Magazine Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing is all about making your presence felt in cyberspace. If you succeed in this endeavor, the rest of the journey is fairly simple. Ezine Magazine advertising is one of the best ways to make your product visible to online users. You just need to acquaint yourself with a few basics in ezine magazine affiliate marketing before you begin. In case you are a newbie and unfamiliar with online lingo, an ezine magazine refers to an electronic publication circulated to subscribers and it functions as a magazine for internet users. It can contain specific issues or a general address to readers. The moment an ezine get popular with online users, the number of subscribers gradually increases and so does the market share of the ezine. In such a situation, there is a lucrative opportunity for the publisher to sell space in the ezine and earn compensation in return. This benefits affiliates who can buy this online space and in turn allow the publisher to promote their products via the ezine. If you are wondering what the catch is, there is none. It is as straightforward as it appears to be!The main concern that should occupy your mind as an affiliate is the length of the ezine. Ezines can be only a few paragraphs worth or extend to few pages providing links to other websites. Affiliates should choose for longer ezines since they offer external links which render them more value. An affiliate has three options for an ad to be placed in the ezine. They are categorized as:- The Classified Ad
- The Top Sponsor Ad
- The Solo AdThe classified ad contains minimal advertising space and is available at a nominal cost. The top sponsor ad can cost a good bit more but it typically gets more “eyes balls” and traffic because it is pretty much the most noticeable ad on the page. If you want the maximum benefit from your ezine affiliate program then you should opt for a solo ad since its length is suited to your convenience. It has a greater effect on users because it is typically mailed separately from the ezine, hence the term “solo” ad. With this one the whole list is looking at your ad only (if they open the email) so choose which ezines you decide to market with carefully. Here is a tip for with you can make your online business the envy of many others:Give Your Customers More Free StuffNo kidding. When you run an ad frequently it should be just to attract subscribers to your list because the ad will be for a free eBook or video, but in order to get it they will have to opt-in to your marketing list. Now you can market directly to them over and over again.

In Direct Sales – Time Management Is Money In the Bank

You wake up, try to get showered and dressed before the kids wake up. Then you prepare breakfast, get them bathed, dressed and ready for the day. With any luck, you might manage a few minutes of time for yourself, but in general, the direct sales/home party consultant has a lot more on their plate than just juggling the kids schedules. If only it were that easy most days. Time management is one of the most popular issues for work-from-home consultants. Not only are the everyday distractions of kids and chores a difficulty, but unannounced visitors, home repairs, family, and other unforeseen items that crop up during the day. How do you handle it? Looking for help? Here are a few resources that just might make it easier for you.

  • Get a timer. It might seem silly at first, but setting your kitchen time for an hour at a time can help you realize just how much time is passing during the day. I prefer the “wind up” timers with the loud bell. They are portable, and I keep one near my desk in case the phone should ring. Then I just set it to go off in a few minutes. If the conversations keeping me from working, I just tell my caller “That’s my timer – I need to go take care of that now.” Most times, the caller doesn’t even question what the timer is for. They let you go, and you don’t have to feel guilty about it. If they do ask about it, you can just tell them, “I set my timer and now I have to go take care of something.” Then excuse yourself and get back to work.
  • Hang a sign on your door. Whether it’s your office door or your front door, let people know you are not to be disturbed. This doesn’t always help with rowdy kids, but it certainly cuts down on unannounced visitors. Make arrangements with a neighbor to accept packages for you during your work time, and leave a note for delivery drivers. A simple. “Please Do not disturb. In the office until 3pm. Please leave packages next door” if sufficient. Besides, in getting to know your neighbors, you might find a new customer.
  • Get organized first thing in the morning. I use and recommend Mark Joyner’s Simpleology 101: The Simple Science of Getting What You Want. It’s a free, comprehensive course that not only give you a new understanding of the power of time, energy and money, but actually walks you through a daily exercise, called a “target praxis” to help you get focused on the important, “must do’s” of the day. It takes about 10-15 minutes to work through the praxis and the daily lesson. It’s by far the best time I spend every morning organizing my thoughts. I find that I’m achieving more in less time, and I stay focused on the important issues instead of getting side tracked by surprise email or other internet distractions. Simpleology 101 is an online program that features video lessons, a workbook for reinforcement, and audios you can take with your for on-the-go learning.
  • Be Flexible. Don’t expect that you’ll adhere to your schedule 100% every day. Schedule in some “wiggle room” around customer calls, hostess coaching, and order entry. Sometimes, you can even multi-task. Consider taking the kids to play at the park while you sit and label catalogs. Then when you’re all done, you can join in the fun!
  • Have a “show on the go”. Keep a small sampling of product available with a hostess packet and recruiting info. Carry it with you at all times. You can put the product in a plastic zipper bag to keep it tidy, and the hostess packet can be in a separate envelope. This way you are ready to “talk shop” at a moments notice – even in line at the grocery store, saving time on customer followup at a later date.
  • Ask for help. Sometimes, it’s not possible, but talk with your family, and let them know how important your direct sales business is to you, and show them specific ways that they can help you be successful. Kids love to be helpful – especially if there’s a reward for doing so. Your spouse can help watch the kids in the evenings when you’re doing call backs or other business items. Just remember to reward them, too! Family rewards for helping out are a great way to spend time together – which is why you got into direct sales in the first place!

Always remember that you’re not alone in your direct sales company. Talk with your leader about what works for them. It might just help you, too. Ultimately, though, you are responsible for your own success. Finding ways to make the burden easier makes the job more enjoyable for everyone.

The Importance of Targeting the Right Direct Marketing Consumer Group

A direct marketing consumer group consists of a group of individuals whose contact information is listed in a mailing list. Such mailing lists are often commercially available and can be purchased freely by companies keen to expand their existing sales leads and market share. These mailing lists have become increasingly popular recently as business owners begin to acknowledge the importance of having a large pool of potential sales leads to work with. Yet, it is often the case that relevance is often neglected in the frenzied pursuit for quantity. This means lower quality sales leads for the business owners who have purchased these lists in the first place. This article serves to highlight the importance of targeting the right direct marketing consumer group.

For one, the ability to target the right direct marketing consumer group allows business owners to achieve greater efficiency and a comparatively lower wastage of resources. The fact is low quality sales leads result in a lower probability of you generating any sale in the first place. For instance, a list of 10,000 people with only 100 buying from you, would not add as much value to your business, as compared to say having a more streamlined list of 1000 people with 500 buying from you. Clearly, the mathematics involved is pretty much clear as seen from the above example. In the case of the former, you get lesser sales, but yet, have to fork out a relatively large sum of money and amount of effort just to get your marketing efforts going. Comparatively, you pay less but achieve more in the case of the latter. This highlights the importance of targeting the right direct marketing consumer group. You achieve higher returns from your effort.

Moreover, opportunities are abundant should you be able to target the right direct marketing consumer group. In most cases, this group of individuals often has a greater sense of interest towards the product which you are offering as compared to lower quality sales leads. In this case, you might even wish to expand the options available to them. For instance, you might want to request them to join your affiliate program given the fact that they had purchased and used your product. To this, consumers that belong to the right direct marketing consumer group would be more likely to respond to your call for affiliates. With an already keen interest in your products, coupled with the fact that they had actually used your products, you would now have a higher chance of getting them over to your side as an affiliate. As such, targeting the right direct marketing consumer group can provide you with many options that you might want to explore in the future.

Clearly, there are many advantages associated with targeting the right direct marketing consumer group. The most important of which, is a higher return on your investment. Above all, it provides you with many opportunities which you can explore in the long run to grow your business over time.
